THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send me "forwards" over the past 12 months. Thank you for making me feel safe, secure, blessed, and wealthy.
Extra thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat crap in the glue on envelopes cause I now have to go get a wet towel every time I need to seal an envelope.Also, I scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.
Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put "Under God" on their cans.
I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer. I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.
I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.
I no longer go to shopping malls because someone might drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.
I no longer receive packages from nor send packages by UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.
I no longer eat KFC because their "chickens" are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.
I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I receive my free replacement pair from Nike.
I no longer have to buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe.
I no longer worry about my soul because at last count I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.
Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my prayers if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time).
I no longer have any money at all - but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special email program.
Yes, I want to thank you so much for looking out for me that I will now return the favor!
If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 7 minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diarrhea will land on yourhead at 5:00 PM (CDT) this afternoon.
I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend - of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's - second husband's cousin's - beautician.

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
You know us - every thought and every action. Nothing is hidden from you. We marvel at Your creation and Psalm 8 is true: 'What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of (earth born) man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God (or heavenly beings), and You have crowned him with glory and honor.' You are awesome and precious and we want to sing Your praises - let everything that has breath praise the Lord! As we begin to worship You and focus on You, everything else fades into the background...
Today Lord, we need You. Without You we are nothing and we can do nothing. But with You we are more than conquerers. You are our HOPE and our LIFE. As little children we want to come to You and lay our needs before You. You said that we should be anxious about NOTHING but pray about EVERYTHING. We want to pray for those who are alone, or ill, in dire straits, or jobless. You are the Provider and nothing is impossible for You. Help us to believe that You have great things in mind for every single one of us. We need a special touch from You today.
Father, You know how many parents are worried about their children - who just want the best for them but their children don't understand that. You are our heavenly Father and understand that, please hear our prayers for our children today. May every child get to know You and have a relationship with You.
Comfort the lonely, strengthen the weak and provide for the poor. Help us to meet a need when we see one. We want to look around us for opportunities to show the world what You look like. Forgive us for being poor examples of who You are. You said that we will have difficult times on earth but that we will never be alone. I pray for every person reading this - wherever they are - that You will be their Provider, Protector, Comforter and Friend.
Dear God, we pray for all the different countries of the world, their governments and institutions. May Your Name be honored everywhere and Your face be sought over all the earth. May You be especially near those who are being persecuted for the sake of Your Name. Strengthen them and help them to remember that You love them and see their hurt.
We ask all of this in the Name of Jesus.

WORDS OF LIGHT.
(READ: JOHN. 8:12).
I am the LIGHT of the world.
Because JESUS is the LIGHT of the world, we don't need to be in the dark about GOD.
JESUS, an iternerant rabbi from the town of Nazareth, asserted that HE was the LIGHT of the world. That was an incredible claim from a man in first century Galilee, an obscure region in the Roman Empire. It could not boast of any impressive culture and had no famous philosophers, noted authors, or gifted sculptors. And we have no record that JESUS had any formal education.
More than that, JESUS lived before the invention of the printing press, radio, television, and e-mail. How could HE expect HIS ideas to be circulated around the globe? The words HE spoke were committed to the memories of HIS followers. Then the LIGHT of the world was snuffed out by the darkness - or so it seemed.
Centuries later we still listen with amazement to JESUS' words, which HIS FATHER has miraculously preserved. HIS words lead us out of darkness into the LIGHT of GOD'S truth; they fulfill HIS promise, "He who follows ME shall not walk in darkness, but have the LIGHT of LIFE". (John.8:12).
I encourage you to read the words of JESUS in the Gospels. Ponder them. Let them grip your mind and change your life. You'll exclaim as HIS contemporaries did: "No man ever spoke like this MAN!". (John. 7:46).

Food For Thought
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this Happen?" (regarding Katrina).
Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. (and), being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.
How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection, if we demand He leave us alone?" In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, et'c. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare ~ (she was murdered, her body was just found recently) ~ complained she didn't want prayer in our schools.
(and), We said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . The Bible says, "thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself". What is so wrong with those sentiments that we didn't want our children to learn them?
And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.
And we said OK.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.
I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it.
Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

1. ONE OF YOUR SCARS, Where, and HOW DID YOU GET IT?Well, on my right hand is the scar from where a rock was removed from under my skin when I was five. I was told that I was born with it embedded under my skin. So, did my Mamma eat dirt? I don't know??
2. WHATS ON YOUR BEDROOM WALLS? Movie Posters:"Can't Hardly Wait", "Cruel Intentions", "Crime and Punishment in Surburbia", "The Corruptors", "The Italian Job", "DareDevil", "The Replacement Killers", "Roswell", "Natural Bron Killers", a clock, a Buffy the Vampire Calendar (with Angel and Buffy), a rug, with butterflys on it (yeah, hanging below the calendar). And a HUGE Asian Fan.
3. WHAT DOES YOUR CELL PHONE LOOK LIKE? It's a Samsung flip cell phone. It has a flashing light on the front, with a clock in a square box. It's blue and silver, and it has the legend, T***Mobile under the flashing light.
4. WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LIKE TO LISTEN TO? I love Tim Minor, Crystal Lewis, Christina Aguilera, MAXWELL, Yolanda Adams, Justin Timberlake, Smokie Norful, Tony Lucca, and some others that I listen to but don't spend money on!!
5. DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME YOU WERE BORN? No, that was 58 + years ago, and my Mommy is no longer living. So, suffice it to say, I was born here on earth, to human parents. (I think).
6. WHAT DO YOU WANT *MORE THAN ANYTHING* RIGHT NOW? I want my husband, Richard, to realise how much he really loves me, enough for him to change, and become the man of GOD, I know he could be. He doesn't even have to tell me he's sorry for all the pain he caused us, just to hear him say, "come back home" would be enough for me.
7. WHAT DO YOU MISS AT TIMES? Good health!! You don't miss it until you find out you have chronic illnesses that won't be cured. Then you hear you have cancer, and you always depended on GOD for everything, so it is just a matter of time, and prayer.
8. WHAT IS YOUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION? My computer! In working order. I can look up scriptures, I can read the Bible online, I can keep up with my family and friends, here and on Blogger too. I can search www.IMDb.com, and google. I can buy on Ebay. Et'c. Computers are the BOMB!!!
9. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SMELLS? Musk, and Vanilla Musk. (Fried Chicken & Mexican food). Old Spice. English Leather!
10. DO YOU GET CLAUSTROPHOBIC? No. Sometimes I like small spaces, so I can feel safe, unseen, hidden. This is an allusion to my own idiosyncrasies, and fears of being "found out". Mostly, I'm agoraphobic until I'm right there, then another personality takes over, and I "go onstage".
11. IF YOU DIED TOMORROW: I've made my peace with GOD. I wouldn't be adverse to dying, (again). I know though, that I would sleep, (a euphemisim for death), 'til JESUS' returns to receive us to HIMSELF, (in the air), and so shall we ever be with the LORD.
12. THE LAST PERSON WHO MADE YOU CRY? My hormones are on "overdrive" since I found out I had cancer on top of everything else..., so I'll cry at the drop of a hat!! I can't help it. You know? I'm not sad though. haha.
13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOGNE / PERFUME? It's more like what kind don't I like? There are so many that I buy and get as gifts. I LOVE to smell Vanilla Fields/Vanilla Musk, on me. My brother, Patrick, tells me I always smell SO good!! I like that.
14. WHAT KIND OF HAIR DO YOU LIKE ON THE OPPOSITE SEX? I don't care as long as it's clean. I like bald men just as well. I LOVE red hair along with green eyes, but I'm not a fanatic about this feature. Any man can appeal to me, at any given time.
15. WHERE CAN YOU SEE YOURSELF BEING PROPOSED TO AT?Been there, had that done. Four times already!! I ONLY married once though. Richard just said,--while we were sitting out in his 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Low Rider-- (in 1971), "When we get married, where are we going to live"?? I said, "Here in Riverside". We did.
16: DO YOU LIKE PORN? No, never watched it. Oh, it's been on while I was around, but I never looked at it. I just don't personally think it's right, or enjoyable to watch, but I think sex, is FABULOUS. Hey, I am married to one man for 34 years, after all. Geez!!
17. WHO IS THE LAST PERSON YOU MADE MAD? What the heck?? Probably Cherokee, I get on her nerves on a regular basis!! I'm just getting old, and my memory isn't good, so I can be annoying about many things. Honestly.
18. DO YOU SPEAK A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE? Not fluently. Oh, "Iay eakspay igpay atinlay ettypray oodgay". "Mi habla espanol tambien, poco poco, no mas. Lo siento mucho. Verdad"? haha. I can get down with the get down, and spit a little sumpin' sumpin' you dig? Aight!
19. WHAT WAS THE FIRST GIFT SOMEONE EVER GAVE YOU? My life, (too). So Glory to GOD, (and to Lugenia Cornelia Strickland Taylor Goodwin/Gilbert Grant Goodwin, me Mum and Dah). so, "Giddy up"!! Amen.
20. WOULD YOU FALL IN LOVE KNOWING THAT THE PERSON IS LEAVING? Like, going where? To another town? That's lame. I'd just go too. You don't choose to "fall in love", it just happens. If the other person was leaving this earth, like dying? I'd still be in love with them, I'd just mourn their passing, and try not to stagnate over it.
21. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TELL SOMEONE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU? If it's impossible to SHOW them, then just always have their best interest in your heart, pray for them everyday. Never think negative towards their memory, or them in general. Ask GOD to bless them in whatever they do. Amen. If you can talk to them, and they are SINGLE!!! (and so are you)!!! Speak up!! Nothing ever got started by no one talking about it. WHAT??

24. WHAT IS ONE NUMBER YOU CALL OFTEN? I don't call any number often. Cherokee has her own celly, and she makes most of the calls to the friends, and family.
25. WHAT ANNOYS YOU MOST? That I'm getting a third of what I used to make!!! When I had a J O B. I still like to buy the same things I always did, but I don't have the ducats, scrilla, cheese, dollaz, moolah, that I used to have at my disposal. My grandkids suffer for this fact. I cannot spoil them. You see? *sigh*.
26. HAVE YOU EVER DONE A PRANK CALL? When I was a stupid child, I called a woman (stranger), and pretended to be her husband's girlfriend, I used a fake accent, and pretended to be crying. She got really angry and said that they had already filed for a divorce, so that I could have him. Psyche!! Later, karma. My husband cheated on me!!! So, don't do stuff like this, ever!!!
27. WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE YOU FILLED OUT THIS SURVEY? Doing my e-mail. Then I came to MySpace and started looking at the bulletins. Now, I've been on this one for over half an hour already, Geez!!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF ALCOHOL BECAME ILLEGAL?I could care less, of course remember it isn't alcohol that kills or maims, it is the stupidity of some of the people who consume it, and the way they allow it to alter their personalities. I can take it or leave it. The Bible says: Proverbs 31:6.*Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to those who are bitter of heart.* So, I guess it has it's place?

33. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF IT SUDDENLY STARTED RAINING BLOOD? I would fall on my knees and start praying!! Why would it rain blood?? It could be something like the "Beginning of the beginning of the end" Biblical stuff!! Holy Crap!! Scary!! Who thought of this anyway?
35. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Pamela, my dad's cousin thought was classy. Grant, is after my Dad's middle name. My brother William has the same middle name, and several other people in our family now have the name Grant. We're a "repeato-name" family, extraordinaire!!!

38. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? I've been told I have beautiful cursive writing. Of course not everybody can read it. My Daddy wrote so beautifully, it made mine look like "chicken scratch". Yes, I like the way I write. It's gotten noticed world wide.

41. WHAT IS YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING CD ON THE SHELF? I DON'T have any embarrassing CDs, I've only got four, or five. MOI, Carlos Whittaker Band, MAXWELL, Sharlok Poems, and I just got Smokie Norful, (yesterday from my sister, Anna).
42. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? That's depends on whether I knew Pamela or not, don't you think? If I knew her, sure, I'd be her friend. She's fun and entertaining, and very intelligent, too.
43. HAVE YOU EVER TOLD A SECRET YOU SWORE NOT TO TELL? NO, and I ain't telling now, either. hahahaha.
44. DO LOOKS MATTER? In certain spheres of enviornment, I suppose it does. Who cares? I certainly don't think about how people look. Look at celebrities, not all of them are gorgeously beautiful, or even cute. Look around at your friends, are they all perfectly lovely? That should answer this question.
45. HOW DO YOU RELEASE ANGER? I have been such a repressed personality all my life, that I think that I internalized all my anger. This is probably why I got sick in the first place, and why it accelerated over the years to this point. I don't handle anger well, at all.

48. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A CHILD? My Daddy would always buy me pens and coloring materials, and lots of blank paper!! I mean, he got me reading by the time I was three, and writing by the time I was four, in complete sentences.
49. WHAT CLASS IN SCHOOL DO YOU THINK IS TOTALLY USELESS?(by the way, nobody hates you for anything)!! Physical Education, is useless. There are some that are naturally athletic, they will exercise whenever they can, and however. Then there are those who will NOT participate no matter how you threaten them, or what you threaten them with. Then there are those who cannot participate. Ergo, Physical Education SHOULD BE OBSELETE!!
50. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? I've started many. Some I've lost. Some were stolen. Some I just stopped writing in. Diary or Journal. Are those terms interchangeable? Whatever.
51. DO YOU USE SARCASM? Oh yeah, I think that sarcasm is a perfectly fabulous form of any language skill. Along with acerbic wit. Superflulous stupidity, and latent intellectuality. Anything beyond this is: Nugatory. Amen.
52. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A MOSH PIT? Not only NO, but HELL no!! hehe. I'm too old for that. I was too scared earlier.
53. WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A GUY/GIRL? Obviously, I didn't look for the right things. I was/am, married to the same man I fell in love with about 34 years ago. I thought he would be with me 'til the end of time, but, he had different ideas. So, the qualities I thought that he had, he didn't. Yet, I sure don't want my two daughters that we had together to feel badly about their father's lack of those aforementioned qualities, because they have them coming out of every pore of their bodies.

61. WHO DO YOU MISS MOST RIGHT NOW? My Mamma, she died of cancer back in 1971. I miss her so much sometimes I don't think that I can stand it anymore. Then it passes.

63. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? Dean telling Sam about when they were little, and Dean was carrying Sam (who was a baby at the time, and Dean was about 4 or 5), out of the house they lived in, and their Mother was on the ceiling of their house burning up. SUPERNATURAL.
64. LAST THING YOU ATE? I told you already!! Cherokee fried some chicken and we had some type of stuffing along with it, and I had a diet Orange soda. Oh yeah, there were vegetables in the stuffing, and Man oh man, was it ever goooooood!!! That lady can burn!!!! Gets that from her Mamma, I suppose. haha.

I like it when a guy takes the time to clean up, even if he doesn't have the latest designer clothes!! Just let him be fresh, clean, and smelling like soap, or some cologne, even vanilla (real, not imitation), that you cook with!! It's classic. My son, Gil, ALWAYS smells great!!!
67. DO YOU LOVE THE PERSON WHO POSTED THIS? In CHRIST I do!! I don't really know Mary off of MySpace, but I think that she is very brave. I pray for her everyday, when I come on my computer.81. RIZE ON DVD IN STORES NOW

This is the photo that I was trying to put on my blog space in the "about me" space. I think that it captures my personality to a "T". I love the LORD, family, being with my kids and grandkids, and I am so happy to add, I'm expecting to be a GRANDMOTHER again in 2006!!! Praise GOD!!! Thank you JESUS. HALLELUJAH, Amen. Yes, my only son, the male "fruit of my loins", is going to be a father!!! Gilbert, (Geno to his close family and friends) and Ann (SeungEun by birth) are expecting their first baby!!!! Thank YOU FATHER GOD, Praise YOUR HOLY NAME!!! Amen. May all the guardian angels assigned to our family be vigilant, guarding us from all hurt, harm, danger and all the machinations of the evil ones. This is my prayer, in the NAME of JESUS the CHRIST, LORD and SAVIOR. Amen. I will await this event as I have the other five births. Well it was only three, 'cause LaShane and Garth, after the first baby, had them two at a time!! (Smile). "Grandkids are gifts straight from Heaven to reward Grandparents for not killing their own kids, especially during their children's teen years"!!!!! When I went to my doctor's appointment yesterday, I already knew I would hear that the tumor in my breast was "cancerous". I just kept the same expression on my face and said, "Oh, really"?
I don't know what he expected, but that doesn't really matter to me. You know? I have been so sad for so long, I guess that I thought that I brought this on my own self. Right now, I don't believe this one bit, "The thief cometh not, but for to "kill", "steal", and to "destroy". JESUS said, "but, I have come that you may have life, and that life more abundantly"!! That is what I believe!!
I still "hear" that voice that tries to tell me, "it's what you deserve, you've done so many wrong things in your life. You've set your path from the very beginning. Just like those that went before you, you are a 'Bad Seed'"!! Yes, that is what I hear, alot.
Then I say to that voice, "Oh no you don't, I know that JESUS died for my sins, and all I had to do was ask for forgiveness and accept HIS gift to me, that HE offered on the CROSS, and I am saved, so, ALL those sins are covered by THE BLOOD". Amen.
GOD loves me. I know that HE does. The bible tells me so. When HE sent HIS SON to the earth to die, I was on HIS mind!! I know that this condition that I am in, and I mean all of it, the diabetes, the neuropathy, the osteoporosis, the lapses in my memory, the depression, the sadness, the pain, the cancer. None of this is GOD'S will for my life!!
I have so many times of complete clarity. Then another entity imposes on my mind and it seems as if a dark cloud hovers over my head, and threatens to rain down horror on me. I give into it for a time, albeit sometimes longer than others!! That is my sin to confess.
I want to be STRONG, I want to be WONDERWOMAN!! I even go so far as to imagine the miraculous witness I'll have when GOD chooses to heal me, and I don't have to face a doctor, or an operation!! I'll just be hit by a bolt of painless lightening, and I'll start jumping up and down, praising GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT!!
Start touring churches and talk-shows all over the country telling every one that will listen, "Yes, GOD does still heal by devine intervention"!! I do believe this. I do know that HE does still heal. That will never change, whether I am healed by devine intervention, or I have to go through operations, chemotherapy, or whatever.
I'll never stop believing that GOD can do anything, and that HE often will!! I just claim that I am full of fault, by nature of being human. Because I AM just dust. I cry mostly for my own stupidity, my own neglect of myself, and my health. I cry for the misbegotten notion that I needed someone, other than my own personal SAVIOR, to validate my self worth, and I got let down.
I forgive him, and most of all, I forgive myself. I'll just dig in and really trust GOD to be there when I need HIM, and allow HIM to help me strengthen myself to the point that I'll be able to face whatever comes in my future, my very near future. I am telling all those that I love, "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH", in this blog, and in person.
To my friends, "thank you for being there for me, over all the years, months, weeks, days, hours". I appreciate you all. Don't ever give up on GOD! HE never gives up on you. Amen, and amen.

DEAD MAN WALKIN'! Current mood: thankful.

Before I get started, I just want you to know that I will be quoting alot of verses by memory. I will go back and tell you where these verses are later. Here we go... I hope it blesses you!
Have you ever seen where in some prisons they get ready to execute someone and they call, "DEAD MAN WALKIN'!" so that everyone will look out of their cell to see who is about to be executed? We have alot of "dead men walkin'" today!
The question is, which role do you play in this "jail cell"? Are you Paul who shares the gospel with the dead man so that he can find life? Are you the guards that just sit there watching people getting executed with a stony heart? Or maybe you are the prisoner.. maybe you are the DEAD MAN WALKIN'! For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about yet, allow me to explain. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.
A few very important facts that you should know: 1. If you are living without Jesus Christ, you are not alive at all. You are a dead man walkin'. 2. If you are a christian but you are not living in victory, you are a dead man walkin'. Yes, you are. Here's a few facts to clarify this truth. Jesus said..., "I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly".
If you are not living the abundant life, you are not fulfilling God's will for your life. God said death and life are in the power of the tongue. If you are speaking defeat, you are not fulfilling God's will for your life. God also said, "I know my plans for you...plans for you to prosper..," If you are not speaking prosperity into your life, you are not fulfilling God's plan for your life.Jesus also said, If you love me, you will obey my commands.
What are HIS commands?
1. Love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Remember, if you love God, you will follow His commands. The 2nd greatest commandment clarifies this for us. We do not love God unless we follow this 2nd commandment.
2. Love your neighbor "as yourself". Let's look deeper into this. Do you see the words in quotes? "AS YOURSELF"..., How can you love others if you don't "love" yourself? This is a very deep subject, so give me awhile to explain this the best way I can.
You may say to me.. "I thought the bible says, 'deny yourself and take up the cross and follow me'..., so that doesn't sound like I should be concerned with myself. "Well, it is all about Jesus.., not us.., but consider the following.
Jesus took time out for himself. He went up into a mountainside alone to pray. He was away from his family. He was away from this friends and fellow believers, (the disciples). For us that would be time away from even our church family and fellow believers. He was away from his ministry and even those that needed Him.
Remember, Lazarus needed Him, but He was taking care of Himself. He put all things aside for alone time with God. He allowed God to minister to Him and make Him strong. Does that mean Jesus was selfish? NO! It means He took care of His needs so that He can care for others more effectively. The bible also says, do not be anxious about anything but pray, cast your cares on Christ 'cause He cares for you, and your body is the holy temple of God. Does that sound like the bible wants us to neglect ourselves? I don't think so!
It does say, do everything you do unto Christ. Do everything you do for Christ. That includes taking care of yourself. 3. If you are not witnessing to others, you are neglecting your calling. You witness by telling others about Jesus but you also witness by living for Christ instead of yourself. Are you watching the dead man perishing around you or are you jumping into the fire to save lives like you were called to do!?
Are you on fire for God or are you still living in sin or in the flesh instead of the spirit? If you're walking in the flesh, you are a DEAD MAN WALKIN' whether you have accepted Jesus as your SAVIOR or not! Remember, He is supposed to be your LORD, too! If He is your Lord, you are living for Him instead of yourself.
As a result, you have peace and joy. As a result, you get others curious about God because they want to be living in victory, too. They want peace and joy, too!Consider the DEAD MAN WALKIN'.

No living creature can laugh except man.
Trees may bleed when they are wounded, and beasts in the field will cry in pain and hunger, yet only I have the gift of laughter and it is mine to use whenever I choose. Henceforth, I will cultivate the habit of laughter.

One Flaw In Women
By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
An angel appeared and said,
"Why are you spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything
with only two hands."
The angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."
But I won't," the Lord protested.
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick

You know us - every thought and every action. Nothing is hidden from you. We marvel at Your creation and Psalm 8 is true: 'What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of (earth born) man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God (or heavenly beings), and You have crowned him with glory and honor.' You are awesome and precious and we want to sing Your praises - let everything that has breath praise the Lord! As we begin to worship You and focus on You, everything else fades into the background...
Today Lord, we need You. Without You we are nothing and we can do nothing. But with You we are more than conquerers. You are our HOPE and our LIFE. As little children we want to come to You and lay our needs before You. You said that we should be anxious about NOTHING but pray about EVERYTHING. We want to pray for those who are alone, or ill, in dire straits, or jobless. You are the Provider and nothing is impossible for You. Help us to believe that You have great things in mind for every single one of us. We need a special touch from You today.
Father, You know how many parents are worried about their children - who just want the best for them but their children don't understand that. You are our heavenly Father and understand that, please hear our prayers for our children today. May every child get to know You and have a relationship with You.
Comfort the lonely, strengthen the weak and provide for the poor. Help us to meet a need when we see one. We want to look around us for opportunities to show the world what You look like. WORDS OF LIGHT.

I am the LIGHT of the world.
Because JESUS is the LIGHT of the world, we don't need to be in the dark about GOD.
JESUS, an iternerant rabbi from the town of Nazareth, asserted that HE was the LIGHT of the world. That was an incredible claim from a man in first century Galilee, an obscure region in the Roman Empire. It could not boast of any impressive culture and had no famous philosophers, noted authors, or gifted sculptors. And we have no record that JESUS had any formal education.
More than that, JESUS lived before the invention of the printing press, radio, television, and e-mail. How could HE expect HIS ideas to be circulated around the globe? The words HE spoke were committed to the memories of HIS followers. Then the LIGHT of the world was snuffed out by the darkness - or so it seemed.
Centuries later we still listen with amazement to JESUS' words, which HIS FATHER has miraculously preserved. HIS words lead us out of darkness into the LIGHT of GOD'S truth; they fulfill HIS promise, "He who follows ME shall not walk in darkness, but have the LIGHT of LIFE". (John.8:12).
I encourage you to read the words of JESUS in the Gospels. Ponder them. Let them grip your mind and change your life. You'll exclaim as HIS contemporaries did: "No man ever spoke like this MAN!". (John. 7:46).

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. (and), being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.
How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection, if we demand He leave us alone?" In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, et'c. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare ~ (she was murdered, her body was just found recently) ~ complained she didn't want prayer in our schools.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . The Bible says, "thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself". What is so wrong with those sentiments that we didn't want our children to learn them?
And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.
And we said OK.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.
I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

42. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? That's depends on whether I knew Pamela or not, don't you think? If I knew her, sure, I'd be her friend. She's fun and entertaining, and very intelligent, too.
43. HAVE YOU EVER TOLD A SECRET YOU SWORE NOT TO TELL? NO, and I ain't telling now, either. hahahaha.
44. DO LOOKS MATTER? In certain spheres of enviornment, I suppose it does. Who cares? I certainly don't think about how people look. Look at celebrities, not all of them are gorgeously beautiful, or even cute. Look around at your friends, are they all perfectly lovely? That should answer this question.
45. HOW DO YOU RELEASE ANGER? I have been such a repressed personality all my life, that I think that I internalized all my anger. This is probably why I got sick in the first place, and why it accelerated over the years to this point. I don't handle anger well, at all.
46. WHERE IS YOUR SECOND HOME? This IS my second home!!! My first HOME is with JESUS, in heaven. I can't wait to go back HOME, either. Well, with the TRINITY!! (FATHER, SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT). Amen.
47. DO YOU TRUST OTHERS EASILY? Yeah, I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Then if they mess up, it's on them, not 'cause I didn't give them the chance to prove that I should trust them.
48. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A CHILD? My Daddy would always buy me pens and coloring materials, and lots of blank paper!! I mean, he got me reading by the time I was three, and writing by the time I was four, in complete sentences.
49. WHAT CLASS IN SCHOOL DO YOU THINK IS TOTALLY USELESS?(by the way, nobody hates you for anything)!! Physical Education, is useless. There are some that are naturally athletic, they will exercise whenever they can, and however. Then there are those who will NOT participate no matter how you threaten them, or what you threaten them with. Then there are those who cannot participate. Ergo, Physical Education SHOULD BE OBSELETE!!
50. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? I've started many. Some I've lost. Some were stolen. Some I just stopped writing in. Diary or Journal. Are those terms interchangeable? Whatever.
51. DO YOU USE SARCASM? Oh yeah, I think that sarcasm is a perfectly fabulous form of any language skill. Along with acerbic wit. Superflulous stupidity, and latent intellectuality. Anything beyond this is: Nugatory. Amen.
52. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A MOSH PIT? Not only NO, but HELL no!! hehe. I'm too old for that. I was too scared earlier.
53. WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A GUY/GIRL? Obviously, I didn't look for the right things. I was/am, married to the same man I fell in love with about 34 years ago. I thought he would be with me 'til the end of time, but, he had different ideas. So, the qualities I thought that he had, he didn't. Yet, I sure don't want my two daughters that we had together to feel badly about their father's lack of those aforementioned qualities, because they have them coming out of every pore of their bodies.

This is the photo that I was trying to put on my blog space in the "about me" space. I think that it captures my personality to a "T". I'm just "folks", I don't try to put on airs, I don't try to be someone that I'm not. I'm just "Mamma" and "Grandma", Sis and P.M. to family, and Pam to my friends. I love the LORD, family, being with my kids and grandkids, and I am so happy to add, I'm expecting to be a GRANDMOTHER again in 2006!!! Praise GOD!!! Thank you JESUS. HALLELUJAH, Amen. Yes, my only son, the male "fruit of my loins", is going to be a father!!! Gilbert, (Geno to his close family and friends) and Ann (SeungEun by birth) are expecting their first baby!!!! Thank YOU FATHER GOD, Praise YOUR HOLY NAME!!! Amen. May all the guardian angels assigned to our family be vigilant, guarding us from all hurt, harm, danger and all the machinations of the evil ones. This is my prayer, in the NAME of JESUS the CHRIST, LORD and SAVIOR. Amen. I will await this event as I have the other five births. Well it was only three, 'cause LaShane and Garth, after the first baby, had them two at a time!! (Smile). When I went to my doctor's appointment yesterday, I already knew I would hear that the tumor in my breast was "cancerous". I just kept the same expression on my face and said, "Oh, really"?
I don't know what he expected, but that doesn't really matter to me. You know? I have been so sad for so long, I guess that I thought that I brought this on my own self. Right now, I don't believe this one bit, "The thief cometh not, but for to "kill", "steal", and to "destroy". JESUS said, "but, I have come that you may have life, and that life more abundantly"!! That is what I believe!!
I still "hear" that voice that tries to tell me, "it's what you deserve, you've done so many wrong things in your life. You've set your path from the very beginning. Just like those that went before you, you are a 'Bad Seed'"!! Yes, that is what I hear, alot.
Then I say to that voice, "Oh no you don't, I know that JESUS died for my sins, and all I had to do was ask for forgiveness and accept HIS gift to me, that HE offered on the CROSS, and I am saved, so, ALL those sins are covered by THE BLOOD". Amen.
GOD loves me. I know that HE does. The bible tells me so. When HE sent HIS SON to the earth to die, I was on HIS mind!! I know that this condition that I am in, and I mean all of it, the diabetes, the neuropathy, the osteoporosis, the lapses in my memory, the depression, the sadness, the pain, the cancer. None of this is GOD'S will for my life!!
I have so many times of complete clarity. Then another entity imposes on my mind and it seems as if a dark cloud hovers over my head, and threatens to rain down horror on me. I give into it for a time, albeit sometimes longer than others!! That is my sin to confess.
I want to be STRONG, I want to be WONDERWOMAN!! I even go so far as to imagine the miraculous witness I'll have when GOD chooses to heal me, and I don't have to face a doctor, or an operation!! I'll just be hit by a bolt of painless lightening, and I'll start jumping up and down, praising GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT!!
Start touring churches and talk-shows all over the country telling every one that will listen, "Yes, GOD does still heal by devine intervention"!! I do believe this. I do know that HE does still heal. That will never change, whether I am healed by devine intervention, or I have to go through operations, chemotherapy, or whatever.
I'll never stop believing that GOD can do anything, and that HE often will!! I just claim that I am full of fault, by nature of being human. Because I AM just dust. I cry mostly for my own stupidity, my own neglect of myself, and my health. I cry for the misbegotten notion that I needed someone, other than my own personal SAVIOR, to validate my self worth, and I got let down.
I forgive him, and most of all, I forgive myself. I'll just dig in and really trust GOD to be there when I need HIM, and allow HIM to help me strengthen myself to the point that I'll be able to face whatever comes in my future, my very near future. I am telling all those that I love, "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH", in this blog, and in person.
To my friends, "thank you for being there for me, over all the years, months, weeks, days, hours". I appreciate you all. Don't ever give up on GOD! HE never gives up on you. Amen, and amen.

DEAD MAN WALKIN'! Current mood: thankful.

Before I get started, I just want you to know that I will be quoting alot of verses by memory. I will go back and tell you where these verses are later. Here we go... I hope it blesses you!
Have you ever seen where in some prisons they get ready to execute someone and they call, "DEAD MAN WALKIN'!" so that everyone will look out of their cell to see who is about to be executed? We have alot of "dead men walkin'" today!
The question is, which role do you play in this "jail cell"? Are you Paul who shares the gospel with the dead man so that he can find life? Are you the guards that just sit there watching people getting executed with a stony heart? Or maybe you are the prisoner.. maybe you are the DEAD MAN WALKIN'! For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about yet, allow me to explain. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.
A few very important facts that you should know: 1. If you are living without Jesus Christ, you are not alive at all. You are a dead man walkin'. 2. If you are a christian but you are not living in victory, you are a dead man walkin'. Yes, you are. Here's a few facts to clarify this truth. Jesus said..., "I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly".
If you are not living the abundant life, you are not fulfilling God's will for your life. God said death and life are in the power of the tongue. If you are speaking defeat, you are not fulfilling God's will for your life. God also said, "I know my plans for you...plans for you to prosper..," If you are not speaking prosperity into your life, you are not fulfilling God's plan for your life.Jesus also said, If you love me, you will obey my commands.
What are HIS commands?
1. Love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Remember, if you love God, you will follow His commands. The 2nd greatest commandment clarifies this for us. We do not love God unless we follow this 2nd commandment.
2. Love your neighbor "as yourself". Let's look deeper into this. Do you see the words in quotes? "AS YOURSELF"..., How can you love others if you don't "love" yourself? This is a very deep subject, so give me awhile to explain this the best way I can.
You may say to me.. "I thought the bible says, 'deny yourself and take up the cross and follow me'..., so that doesn't sound like I should be concerned with myself. "Well, it is all about Jesus.., not us.., but consider the following.
Jesus took time out for himself. He went up into a mountainside alone to pray. He was away from his family. He was away from this friends and fellow believers, (the disciples). For us that would be time away from even our church family and fellow believers. He was away from his ministry and even those that needed Him.
Remember, Lazarus needed Him, but He was taking care of Himself. He put all things aside for alone time with God. He allowed God to minister to Him and make Him strong. Does that mean Jesus was selfish? NO! It means He took care of His needs so that He can care for others more effectively. The bible also says, do not be anxious about anything but pray, cast your cares on Christ 'cause He cares for you, and your body is the holy temple of God. Does that sound like the bible wants us to neglect ourselves? I don't think so!
It does say, do everything you do unto Christ. Do everything you do for Christ. That includes taking care of yourself. 3. If you are not witnessing to others, you are neglecting your calling. You witness by telling others about Jesus but you also witness by living for Christ instead of yourself. Are you watching the dead man perishing around you or are you jumping into the fire to save lives like you were called to do!?
Are you on fire for God or are you still living in sin or in the flesh instead of the spirit? If you're walking in the flesh, you are a DEAD MAN WALKIN' whether you have accepted Jesus as your SAVIOR or not! Remember, He is supposed to be your LORD, too! If He is your Lord, you are living for Him instead of yourself.
As a result, you have peace and joy. As a result, you get others curious about God because they want to be living in victory, too. They want peace and joy, too!Consider the DEAD MAN WALKIN'.
Remember, we are all firefighters!

And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything
with only two hands."
The angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."
But I won't," the Lord protested.
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick
AND can work 18 hour days."
The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
"But you have made her so soft, Lord."
"She is soft," the Lord agreed,
"but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."
"Will she be able to think?", asked the angel.
The Lord replied,
"Not only will she be able to think,
she will be able to reason and negotiate."
The angel then noticed something,
and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
"Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."
"That's not a leak,"
the Lord corrected,
"that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.
The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy,
her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love,
her loneliness, her grief and her pride."
The angel was impressed.
"You are a genius, Lord.
You thought of everything!
Woman is truly amazing."
And she is!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness,
love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
